This is a simple app for car tuners and other speed freaks to calculate and measure car performance.
One can calculate car performance and effect of engine power and torque increase, weight reduction, gear ratio or tire size changes etc. to the car acceleration. Also a measurement can be done to get the corresponding numbers in reality.
This app includes two part:
- Calculation of a vehicle acceleration according to vehicle data
- Measurement of a vehicle acceleration by using acceleration sensor in your phone or tablet
Short introduction:
- See the Introduction Movie
- Calculation: Fill in all the empty cells, but gear ratios only to highest existing gear. Then push "Calculate" on the Results-page.
- Measurement:
1. Stop the car, situate the cell phone/tablet to a place, where it can't move during driving.
2. Push "Start" and start driving the car. The recording of the acceleration won't start before the car is moving.
3. Finally push "Stop" to draw the acceleration and speed curves.
